Metamorphic Rocks

        Metamorphic rocks are rocks that result from the alteration of preexisting in response to changing environmental conditions, such as veriations in temperature, pressure, and mechanical stress, and the additions or subtraction of chemical components. Metamorphic rocks are classified according to the metamorphic process into dynametamorphic rocks, contact metamorphic rocks, hydrothermal metamorphic rocks, and regional rocks.
