        According to the record of the Erhai Lake, there are 30 species of fishes, 19 genera in 7 families of 4 orders, including 17 kinds of indigenous species fish and 13 kinds of invasive fishes, among which Poropuntius exiguous, Poropuntius cogginii, Schizothorax taliensis, Cyprinus barbatus, Cyprinus daliensis, Cyprinus longipectoralis, Cyprinus megalophthalmus and Paracobitis erhaiensis are species endemic to the Erhai Lake; Schizothorax yunnanensis is endemic to the Erhai Lake, Sword Lake and other Yunnan West Lake groups. Cyprinus carpiochilia is endemic to lakes of Yungui Plateau. It can be said that Erhai is one of the main specialized regions of Cyprinus in Yunnan Province even China, which has an alternative position in the evolution research of fish.
