Dali Ancient Town is a national level historic and cultural city. On the back of Mount Cangshan and facing ErhaiLake, Dali Ancient City is a wonderful landscape city and a central landscape of the Mount Cangshan basin range coupling Spectacle. Built up in the fourteenth year of the Tang Dynasty Calendar (AD 779 B.P.), it was once the capital of Nanzhao Kingdom and Dali Kingdom and a center of politics, economy and cultural activities ofYunnan region for five hundred years during the Tang andSong Dynasties. The buildings here are a style of the BaiPeople and mainly characterized by courtyard.
